Mountain Valley wins their second Dual of the day against Lisbon/Oak Hill 48-24.

At 160 Matty Muscles(McWilliams) got caught in the first period by Fitzsinmons of L-OH.

Devlyn Gross had a very competitive match at 170 but ended up getting stuck by Ridley of L-OH.

Kaden Paaso controlled his match at 182 against Bernard of L-OH before securing the pin at the end of the second period.

Reeghan Nisibit, Jackson Rajaneimi, Remi Gauthier, Nate Gamache, Vinny Duguay, Lucas Libby and Owen Gaudette all won by forfeit.

L-OH had forfeit victories by Gabi Turner, and Demetrius Clark.

Mountain Valley wins their first Dual of the day over the Warriors of Fort Kent. 54-12

Remi Gauthier dropped his match at 132 to Desjardins of FK.

Nate Gamache earned a quick :20 pin at 145 against Desjardins of FK.

Lucas Libby earned a second period pin bumping up to 160 against Desjardins(yes another) of FK.

Reeghan Nisbit, Jackson Rajaneimi, Matt McWilliams, Grady Mack, Kaden Paaso, and Owen Gaudette all won by forfeits.

Joel Desjardins from FK also won by forfeit.

Due to the inclement weather, there have been slight changes to our events/practices for today.

The HS Wrestling meet has been cancelled.

The practice schedule has also been updated to reflect the following:

Our girls basketball team went to Readfield yesterday to take on an undefeated Kents Hill team. The huskies walked away with the win but our girls showed a lot of resiliency, considering they didn’t know they’d be playing the game until early Saturday morning. Here were our scorers from the game:

From one major event to another. Tonight our Boys Basketball team takes on the Greyhounds of Lisbon(JV at 5:00, V at 6:30) and it is also senior night. We get to recognize four amazing young men and they get to say thank you to their loved ones. Don’t let their attempt to look mean in their photos fool you, these young men are as kind as they are talented. They’ve been a fun group to watch play and to have in our school community, they will be missed and I look forward to celebrating them tonight.

Thank you Zach, Brayden, Leon and Will for everything you have brought to Mountain Valley High School. Look forward to watching you finish this season strong.

Our cheerleading squad placed third today at the MVC Championships. They did awesome, they made our school/community proud, but I know they aren’t content and will continue to improve.

Most importantly they were awarded the Spirit Award which is voted on by all of the MVC coaches, a testament to their character, sportsmanship and spirit. I am incredibly proud of this group of young ladies!

Tomorrow morning, Mountain Valley High School is lucky enough to host the MVC Cheerleading Championships. The competition starts at 10:00 AM and doors open at 9:00 AM. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students/senior citizens.
