January 2023!!!!!

Next meeting January 10th
Zoom Meeting

Our Positive Cougar Club worked hard getting their school ready for the holidays. They decided they wanted to bring some Holiday Cheer and decorate the cafeteria windows with some of their amazing art work. Can’t wait to see what they are going to work on for the New Year.

We had a great time at the Old School Pantry Volunteer Christmas Party!!
We have some of the best volunteers around and we wouldn’t be able to help the community without each and everyone one of them. We appreciate them so much..

I want to give a HUGE shout out to ALL the volunteers we have had over the past 5 year for the Senior Commodities Food Distribution. They have braved the cold, the wind, hot humid days, ,heavy boxes and a pandemic to help us get food to over 230 Senior (60 and over) in our River Valley Area every month!!!! We appreciate all your help and dedication.

What a wonderful gathering on Wednesday! We had a great turnout! Christmas Bingo was a huge success and the turkey meal was delicious! Thank you to Tammy and Emily from Oxford Federal Credit Union who spoke about fraud and taught us a lot on what to look for and how to prevent it. And a big thank you to the cooks Thelma, Arthur and Diane.

Happy 2023!!
Start the new year off with some self-care for yourself.

Most fatal overdoses take place when a person is using alone. If someone is nearby and knows how to respond, chances of survival are much higher.

Overamping on stimulants can happen for various reasons, and signs can be different each time. If you know what to watch for, you might be able to help. For more information on how to prevent or respond to overamping events, go to https://harmreduction.org/issues/overdose-prevention/overview/stimulant-overamping-basics/recognizing-stimulant-overamping/.

Please join us! Everyone is welcomed!
